Alison Hoffman spearheads content and brand marketing for the network, drives acquisition for the STARZ app and digital affiliates and delivers data-driven insights that support all facets of the business. She oversees the creative strategy, media planning, acquisition marketing, product development and innovation, digital and social marketing and analytical support for the affiliate and direct-to-consumer business.

Hoffman has transformed the Starz marketing organization into one that seamlessly merges creativity with analytics while mentoring a staff of entertainment and direct response marketers as the business evolves to include more digital distribution systems. She also revamped the Insights & Analytics team to deliver cutting-edge insights across the organization’s business streams

She oversees campaigns for the entire STARZ Original series slate including “Power,” “Outlander,” “Vida” and “American Gods.” In fact, Hoffman helped orchestrate returning series “Power” to an all-time high in multiplatform views and grew social followers across all series by 19% year over year while continuing to lead the industry in social engagement with “Outlander.” She also successfully launched the new series “Vida” that brought new customer cohorts to STARZ and the acclaimed docuseries “America to Me” with prosocial impact campaigns that expanded the STARZ footprint in the unscripted space.

Hoffman played an integral role in the launch of the STARZ app and currently oversees acquisition marketing campaigns for the network’s direct-to-consumer offerings. In 2018, the STARZ app was named one of the Top 5 streaming services in the US and has consistently ranked in the Top 10 Entertainment Top Grossing category on iTunes since its launch.

Over the past year, Hoffman has led Starz in its efforts to build the OTT business by delivering 62% growth year over year that outpaced competitors HBO and Showtime. She has worked closely with partners including Hulu to successfully launch STARZ on new platforms while continuing to build the STARZ brand as the premium streaming content platform appealing to diverse, female audiences around the world.

Hoffman holds a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from Brown University. A native of Westfield, New Jersey, Hoffman is a resident of Los Angeles with her husband and three young sons ages 11, 8 and 6.
