Kevin has worked in the professional video space for 15 years. He started his career designing hardware and software at Cobalt Digital, eventually serving as Vice President of Engineering. In 2013 he joined Elemental Technologies to focus on software defined IP video and cloud solutions. After Elemental Technologies joined AWS and became AWS Elemental, Kevin was head of software development for live transcoding applications. Since 2017, Kevin has acted as Director of Product Management for Live solutions at AWS Elemental. While Kevin enjoys a good on-demand movie as much as the next person, he knows that live video has a power, immediacy, and audience attraction that is hard to beat! Kevin holds a BSEE and MSEE from the University of Illinois-Urbana-Champaign. When not talking to customers and engineers about cool video applications Kevin enjoys running, reading, travel, and being a dad.
